To truly be no-kill, animal servicing agencies must have avenues where animals that would otherwise be euthanized can find forever homes. This includes: SANCTUARIES where unadoptable animals can live out their lives in a loving secure environment, FOSTER PROGRAMS where animals can live in the comfort of a foster family, and HOSPITALS where animals can be rehabilitated for adoption.
RAPS is a leader in no-kill animal care - we run foster programs and Canada's only Cat Sanctuary. Since our establishment in 1999, our vet costs have increased, due in large part to our aging feline population. By building the RAPS ANIMAL HOSPITAL, we will reduce external medical expenses and allow us to do so much more: increase capacity for spaying/neutering, enhance vet care and animal food bank services to companion animals of households with low incomes, grow our Cat Sanctuary, open a new Dog Sanctuary, and more! |
